ABIDE

Powerful thoughts...

What is the essence of abiding? How would I communicate this to someone in practical terms?

Acknowledge the Source
Believe the Source is enough
Invite Jesus into every situation
Determine the cost
Expect Fruit

Now here is where it gets powerful.....

Matthew 6:9-13

Our Father who art in heaven - Acknowledge the Source

Hallowed be Your Name - Believe the Source is enough

Your Kingdom Come, You will be done on earth as it is in heaven, Give us this day our daily bread - Invite Jesus into every situation

Forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors, and do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. - Determine the cost

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Amen. - Expect Fruit.

Here is where it gets even more powerful.......

John 15:1-8

I am the true vine and my father is the vinedresser - Acknowledge the Source

I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. - Believe the Source is enough

If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish and it will done for you. - Invite Jesus into every situation

Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. - Determine the Cost

This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. - Expect Fruit.

(read that twice)

...from the mind of Jeremy and the heart of Jesus.

Have a great weekend and a powerful Easter!
Love, Teresa :)

Certain words will always remind me of FBCWH. Abide, grapes, I can't think of the rest right now but there are several.

I've been talking about what abiding means on my blog. Where did you get that definition? I'm assuming you got it from Pastor McCord. I'm going to share that on my blog. Hope that's okay. It's a great definitition.
