Christmas 05!
I got started at 9:00am at my Dad's house! We exchanged gifts (yea! Portable DVD player for our flight to Italy) from there we headed west to his girlfriends house to exchange gifts with her and her kids and to have breakfast! From there I made the looong trip down to South Miami to be with Teddy's family, minus Teddy ;( We did the mad crazy gift exchange with all 27 people and had a wonderful Christmas lunch! I finally ended up at the station, yes, Christmas dinner with 'cookie' and the boys! My second 'ride time' was much more eventful than the first! Near drownings, drunk people passed out in the street (on Christmas, I know...so sad) and a young boy having seizures right on the sidewalk on Washington Ave. In between calls we managed to inhale dinner!
Pictures below...
The wonderful wrap job of my earrings and ring by my
husband, yes people, no tape required! ;)
My very own herb garden that my mother-in-law came over and planted for me! Awesome! Tomato plant included!

Life Group Up-date...
Tonight is our third Life Group and I thought I would fill you in on what's been going on over the last 3 weeks. We have had 5 of our neighbors join us, and one of thier daughters. Four of them are all new believers (within the last 2 months) and along with them come amazing testimonies. One couple was buddhist, along with pretty much every other 'religion' they could 'test' seeking satisfaction, just over 6 weeks ago, they accepted Christ. Amazing couple with a new baby on the way! Our neighbors right next door are newlyweds, they got married in February, by August they were filing for divorce, ready to give up...then they met Jesus. He has saved their marraige. Teddy and I are praying for wisdom, as these new believers are so hungry. Pray for them, David, Simone, Tessa, Tom and Johanna. And pray for Teddy and I as we disciple.
Please join us, tonight at 7:00p.m. for our 3rd Life Group!!!

New additions to the Cook Family...
The morning after 'Wilma' we had a little surprise waiting for us in what was left of our back yard! ;) Four soaking wet kittens, that were shaking and scared to death. We decided we would try to give them some milk and a warm box. When only two of the four came to us in pure desperation we decided to keep them! They're names are Wilma and Cain!! The Vet has come by to check them out (my sister) and she said they look healthy! They are too cute and very happy to be alive!

Just an average Sunday with 'Cook, E'
But I jumped on in and off we went! The call was stated like this '86 year old female who is experiencing pain in her legs and can't walk' okay...so when we arrive to her condo she has walked out to the corner and is waiting for us! Purse and all! Her son was there with her and said "I've got some errands to run, so I'll meet her at the hospital in about 45 minutes...you're taking her to Mount Sinai right?" Unreal...just wanted to get rid of mom for 45 minutes so he could 'run his errands' unfortunately, Teddy said people abuse the system like that all the time! We took her in and we're heading back for our chicken fajitas, black beans and yellow rice..yummy! But no, 2 minutes from the station and, oh yes, another call!! This was a '71 year old female experiencing severe chest pains radiating to her right arm' now this was a real call!
We arrived at her condo (everyone on south beach lives in condo's) and it was a completely different feel. The boys stepped things up about 10 notches. Transported her down to the truck, and went to work! It was so amazing to sit there and watch my husband (and Kerri and Bill, great job y'all) do their thing! She was in the middle of a heart attack. It was pretty intense for about 5 minutes, then everything was under control. Finally, back to the station for dinner! Theres nothing more cute then a bunch of men hanging out at a fire station calling each other play names like 'cookie'. The back of all of Teddy's gear reads 'Cook, E' (Edwin Theodore Cook, III) so he has been marked "cookie" and I love it! ;)
What an exciting night. I love you cookie, and I'm so proud of you and what you're doing! Thank you for taking care of our little family and working so hard to provide for us! Muah!!
*I would have taken pictures for y'all but my husband said the patients probably wouldn't appreciate the flash! HA!

DRINK the water...!
As opposed to 'don't' drink the water...
The wedding bug is in the air!! (or water- whatever)
This past weekend in Tallahassee, FL we celebrated with my oldest sister-in-law (Kailee) as she became a wife!
It was so exciting for the whole family (but I must admit, Im glad its over...I don't suggest 2 weddings in one family all in one year...ever! ;)
We only have two more weddings this year and we're done! They never seem to get old to me, but my husband is over it! A special congratulations to Dan and Stephanie (Oct 7th) and Christina and Jimmy (Oct. 15th) And a very special congratulations to my amazing friends Johnny and Kathy on their 7week miracle, I can't wait to meet him/her!!?

Kathy's Personal Blog to Teresa
I was just listening to Jason Morant’s CD while driving around on my lunch break. The song “Bless the Lord” came on and one line in it really affected me…
“may kingdoms fall and rulers crawl before Your throne”.
I am praying that the Lord will cause my own personal kingdom (the one I have created) to fall and that I, the ruler, would crawl (CRAWL-intense word) in front of His throne… this is the broken spirit that He longs for from us most of all (Ps. 51:17). And if my kingdom, my self-life that I have created to keep me happy, falls… I will have nothing left to do but CRAWL to Him.

AMAZING uhhh? We can't wait!!!!!
It's absolutely beautiful. Fireplace, awesome master bathroom, huge vaulted ceilings, beautiful kitchen, and ofcourse the best part...with the equity we have in our place in downtown hollywood, we won't have a mortgage!! So Teddy will work for the fire department and I will try to get the training business up an running until the kiddo's come along, then I'll be able to stay home....
It all sounds too good to be true doesn't it? Well...it is.
Why wouldn't we do this though? In reality, we could move into this house and not have a mortgage, my 'fairytale' that I just shared with you could be life next month. But why are we still here? Why are we living in South Florida? Why will I mostly likely have to work 'atleast part-time' when the kiddo's do come. Why did we have to down size from 2 SUV's to one and a car because gas is out of control? Why don't we just run from the 'streets that raised us?' Why do interest rates continue to lie? Why are property tax's in South Florida more than some peoples annual incomes? Why don't we just choose to live in debt (like the other 85% of America) instead of within our means?
These are all issues that Teddy and I are dealing with right now.
remember: It's not where you live; it's how you live where you live.
Pray for us as we wait, seek and submit to the next step.
(ps~ we are moving, but not to Atlanta...Cooper City)

the tounge...
It's been a long couple of days. Yesterday I received an email from someone that I love dearly, this email was sent to me solely out of love and conviction. It included some very hurtful and false things about myself.
Why is the tounge so powerful? Why is it used one mintue in communication with the Father and the next in bitterness and hate towards a brother or sister? It is a huge reason why there is so much destruction within the body.
The Word tells us in Ephesians 4:29 to not let any unwholesome talk come out of our mouths, that is so hard. Do we ever truly get to that level. Do we ever arrive at the point where we hate sin so much that all of our words 'benefit those who listen' ?
I pray that we live in a way that our lives reflect a life that is journeying towards that goal. That we can honor the Lord with every word that comes out of our mouth.
JourneyOn...towards rightousness...
~In reading Chapter 4 of Ephesians, it brought me back to a blog my husband just posted this past Sunday titled Model , check it out.

The blessing of a friend...
I had the honor of having lunch with two of my best friends today! Matt and Scott (sorry Scott...I didn't post a picture of you, I didn't want the girls overflowing my comments with 'dang hes hot!')
Today was a reminder that certain relationships/friendships are created in Jesus and therefore made to last.
I know I do not see you guys as often as I used to, but I love you to death. These friendships are not only strong but eternal. I love the time we spend together and always look forward to the next!
Until then...
